my unit has been installed about a month now. i now know what supplemental heat means which i didn't understand at first. a bit tricky to install but i had a good experienced helper. my purpose was to heat and cool my one car garage/workshop. so i'm looking forward to summer now.

I have had a Frigidaire ac/ heat window unit for years that runs on 115volt. Never had a issue with it until this weekend and it went out! Now I can™™t even get a replacement. Highly recommend! But it would be nice to have another one fast

I have only utilized the cooling so far but am pleased. My 2 main gripes are:The instructions on removing the face cover were inadequate and we were scared to break it. When eco mode is off the fan can be loud with a metallic sound.Other than those 2 things we love it for our master bedroom. It keeps it very comfortable and is usually quiet. It has saved is a lot of money as we have not had to run the central air since we keep our main room very comfortable. I am pleased with the installation overall and it was much easier to put in the chassis first. Needs better instructions for taking the face plate off but other than that it was easy.

I own two of these units now and have owned them for over 5 years. The A/C blows cold and the heat function works great, this is truly an all season unit. It is a great source of cheap heat. The heat pump is strong down to exactly 35 degrees, then it has to switch over to electric backup heat. Other reviewers complain that the heat is weaker when it gets cold. However, this is due to the 120 volt design of this unit. The electric back up heat must be used when it is below 35 degrees outside otherwise using the heat pump mode would cause it to freeze. Most heat pump window units are 240 volt and have the electrical capacity to include powerful and expensive electric heat for when it gets very cold. The only solution for this is for Frigidaire to include an automatic defrost functionality into the unit. I would pay so much money for this, and even more for an inverter model too. I do not understand why these are not more popular, the heat pump is three times more efficient than a space heater above 35 degrees.

This unit is easily heating a building measuring 16 x 24 even when the temp. in in the upper 20's. Haven't had a chance to check it out for our hot Texas summers yet, but I think it will be able to keep it comfortable.

This unit is a replacement for a GE I purchased last year that was still under factory warranty and now I am a happy camper. This unit is quieter and more efficient than the similar GE product. Buyer beware...stay away from any GE window unit, they truly are junk!

The front panel of this unit has two hidden plastic catches. One on each side at about the height of the controls. These are not shown in the installation instructions. I called the company and received no help with removing the panel. It would not come off as described. By accident, I discovered a You Tube video for a different model that had the same catches. One has to push the front panel sideways to release the catches. One at a time. You really need to get the word out.

We purchased two of these for our hunting camp. If you need heat for the winter do NOT by this. They blow cold air. I write this as I sit here in 20 degree weather freezing, I am very disappointed!!! Great a/c.

I bought this heater/ac unit for my dogs house. I love it because on its lowest temp setting it keeps the dog house toasty warm and cuts off when it gets to the desired temp. My last one didn™™t have this option and would just continuously run and it would get way to hot for the dogs in the dog house. I would definitely recommend, it™™s perfect for the 8x8 building.

This combo AC/Heater unit is an easy to use, and easy to handle, solution to maintaining room temperature when a main-source heat and air solution is not accessible. The unit is not real heavy, so is easy to get in and out of the siding cutout where it resides in our house. It is in our patio room where our dogs spend much of their day when it is cold or hot outside. The AC function is more than adequate to cool the 260 sq ft room. The heating function is adequate for most "normal" winter days. It needs some other help when temps stay below 30 with no sun. But it does enough to keep the dogs comfy and the plants in the room alive. It would be an ideal machine if the heater was a bit more forceful. But it is a very good unit.

Easy installation, all parts were included. AC works well, however the heat output is very low. With the heat function on, the air coming from the unit does not feel much warmer than just having the fan on. with the unit running heat for 2 hours, the room temp only increased by 7 degrees. Disappointed as i already had a window AC unit, this was purchased to provide heat to a room and get rid of a space heater that was on the floor.

Bought this unit to replace the 6 year old 11K unit that was starting to become noisy did not cool as good as it did the first few years . I was surprised at just how quiet this unit really is . The heat function works very well and is keeping the bedroom nice during these January cold spells we are having . I am very satisfied with the unit and hoping it lasts many yeras .

We just completed installing this unit. Once the air conditioner was removed from the cabinet (it was a bit tight) installation went smoothly. All parts were included and we attached them where necessary. Having older, wooden windows required building up the window casing to allow a firm fit for the unit. Relatively quiet. Multiple options for both cool and heat settings. It was 93 degrees outside, today, but 72 degrees and comfortable inside! Can't wait to try out the heat settings this winter!
